With Croatia on many travelers' bucket lists we've designed a very special Paint Europe Trip to historic and majestic Dubrovnik, Croatia... plus daytrips to neighboring Montenegro and Bosnia. 

 

Whether you are a seasoned artist... or you have never painted before and have always wanted to learn... join national award-winning artist and instructor Laurie Hendricks for a fabulous week!

Each day we'll feed our creative souls. There will be plein air painting sessions in beautiful locations... Laurie will provide demonstrations and offer individual personal instruction to all those who desire, designed to improve your painting skills and expand your art experience... seasoned artists are free to be on their own to paint and enjoy.

 

Artists can choose to paint en plein air in oil or watercolor. You will take home your paintings and a journal filled with treasured memories of your Croatian creative adventure.

 

Non-painter friends and spouses of artists are welcome to join as there are many non-painting activities.

 

We'll be based in Dubrovnik, Croatia, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic." Dubrovnik's Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning Gothic and Baroque architecture, a massive stone wall that encircles the old town, and a spectacular old harbor and coastline. The ancient city provides beautiful settings for joyous plein air painting!

 

We'll take daytrips from Dubrovnik to visit and paint in neighboring countries and villages, to include:

• Montenegro - visiting Kotor, the medieval old town that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

• Bosnia - visiting Mostar, the medieval village on the Neretva River, with its UNESCO preserved arched bridge

• Cavtat - traveling along the Adriatic Coast we'll take a 45-minute boat ride from Dubrovnik's old port to Cavtat, a coastal village with a picturesque tree-lined harbor and Baroque church, an ideal setting for plein air painting.

 

The trip includes many extras -- a welcome reception with Croatian wines and cheeses, wine tasting session with a local expert, and a farewell dinner with traditional Croatian cuisine and wines

There will be personal free time for added individual painting sessions... shopping in Dubrovnik's markets and boutiques... enjoying delicious Croatian cuisine... relaxing at outdoor cafes or poolside.

Optional before breakfast group pleasure walks are organized for travelers who want some morning exercise before starting their vacation day.
