Two spectacular trips in one!

Have you always wanted to try painting? If so, this is the perfect time and place to begin. Beginning and experienced artists are encouraged to join, as are non-artists, friends and spouses. Whether you have never painted before or you're a seasoned painter, renowned Southern California artist and instructor, Eva Margueriette, will guide you individually in capturing beautiful Spain en plein air in your own unique style. You will take home a painted journal filled with treasured memories of your European creative adventure.

Discover the extraordinary splendor of Spain's two prominent cities - Barcelona and Madrid - plus a day trip to historic Toledo. 

Each day we'll feed our creative souls. There will be daily painting sessions, individual instruction and demonstrations by Eva which will improve your skills and expand your art experience.

The first three nights we’ll be staying in majestic, sophisticated Madrid. We’ll take a day trip to Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We'll journey on an evening tapas safari sampling an assortment of tasty Spanish appetizers and we'll have an evening Spanish wine tasting session with a regional expert. There will be lots of free time for shopping, personal sightseeing, and visiting Madrid's world famous art museums - the Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza.

Midweek we’ll travel by high-speed train from Madrid to vibrant Barcelona. We'll have a private tour of Antoni Gaudi's modernisme buildings with a local art/architecture historian guide. We'll meander and paint in the Gothic Quarter, along the Mediterranean, and stroll La Rambla to visit Boqueria Market, Europe's largest food market. There will be lots of free time for shopping, personal sightseeing, visiting Museu Picasso, and soaking in Barcelona's sunshine and ambiance.

Optional before breakfast group pleasure walks through Barcelona's and Madrid's city centres, along the Mediterranean, and the Menzanarez are organized for travelers who want some morning exercise before starting their vacation day.
 
The Spain Painting Trip Is Designed To Provide:

• Free time to explore and enjoy Madrid and Barcelona on your own for personal sightseeing to visit Madrid's world famous art museums – Museu Nacional del Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza... visit the Royal Palace of Madrid and Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid... and see Barcelona's Museu Picasso. Time for enjoying Spanish cuisine, visting markets, relaxation, and shopping.

• Recommended restaurants will be provided should you want to explore on your own, yet everyone is invited to join Eva Margueriette for local-cuisine group meals.
