Madrid & Andalusia - A Painter's Dream

Our journey begins in Madrid, where we'll send our first night immersing ourselves in the world of Joaquin Sorolla, the master of light. A visit to the Sorolla Museum, housed in the artist's former home, will set the stage for our artistic adventure. This beautifully renovated museum holds an extraordinary collection of over 1,200 of Sorolla's paintings and drawings - a must-see for any admirer of his work.

From Madrid, we'll board a high-speed train south to Granada, the heart of Andalusia. Over five magical nights, we'll capture the region's beauty on canvas, painting:

 

• The Alhambra's majestic Moorish palaces, where intricate arches and sunlit courtyards transport you to another era.

• The Generalife Gardens, filled with vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and trickling fountains.

• The historic Albaycin district, Granada's medieval Moorish quarter, with its winding cobbled streets and whitewashed houses, a UNECO World Heritage Sits.

 

A Week of Creativity & Inspiration

Each day, we'll feed our artistic souls with plein air painting sessions in spectacular locations. Magie will provide live demonstrations and personalized instruction, helping you refine your techniques and expand your artistic vision. Seasoned painters are welcome to paint independently, while beginners will receive guidance tailored to their level.

 

Painters can choose to work in oil or watercolor, capturing the stunning landscapes of Andalusia while creating last memories and artworks to take home.

 

An Immersive Spanish Experience

 

Our accommodations will be in a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Granda, housed in a 16th-century open courtyard building, offering a truly authentic Andalusian experience.

 

Throughout the trip, we'll indulge in the flavors and rhythms of Spain, including:

 

• A welcome reception with Spanish wines and local hors d'oeuvres.

• Cocktail-hour wine sessions, perfect for unwinding and sharing inspiration.

• A gala farewell dinner, featuring traditional Andalusian cuisine and local wines.

• An authentic Flamenco performance, showcasing the passion and artistry of Spain's iconic dance.

For early risers, optional morning pleasure walks through Granada are available, providing a refreshing way to start each day before picking up a paintbrush.
