Escape in October to the magnifient and spectacular Greek Islands for a very special Paint Europe Trip!

 

Whether you are a seasoned artist... or you have never painted before and have always wanted to learn... join national award-winning artist and instructor Laurie Hendricks for a fabulous week of plein air painting.

Each day we'll feed our creative souls. There will be daily plein air painting sessions in a variety of different and beautiful locations... plus Laurie will provide group demonstrations and offer individual instruction designed to improve your painting skills and expand your art experience.

Non-painter friends and spouses of artists are invited to join the trip as there are many non-painting activities.

 

Artists can choose to paint en plein air in oil or watercolor. You will take home your paintings and a journal filled with treasured memories of your Greece creative adventure.

 

We'll begin in Athens where we'll stay our first two nights. Then we'll board a ferry to the islands where we'll stay for four nights in Amorgos and Naxos 

 

We'll paint Athens landscapes and city scenes... and for those desiring to paint The Parthenon close up on the Athenian Arcropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a special painting session will be offerred to those desiring to walk to The Parthenon. On the islands of Amorgos and Naxos... we'll paint the striking rugged landscapes, vibrant blue and white stucco buildings, and the stunning sea and coastline scenes. Each day provides numerous beautiful settings for a week filled of joyous plein air painting!

 

The trip includes many extras -- welcome reception with Greek wines and cheeses, Greek wine tasting session with a local expert, and farewell dinner with traditional Greek cuisine and wines

There will be personal free time for added individual painting sessions... shopping in village markets and boutiques... and relaxing at outdoor cafes.

Optional before breakfast group pleasure walks are organized for travelers who want some morning exercise before starting their vacation day.

Post-Trip Extension to Santorini

For those desiring to extend their Greek Islands stay a few extra days, a 4-day, 3-night, post-trip to world renown Santorini is offerred. We'll take a ferry from Naxos to Santorini on Sarurday. In Santorini. Travelers will be on their own to explore the island... paint the iconic blue and white stucco buildings... shop the boutiques... relax poolside. Walking tours will be offerred each morning. We'll gather together for a welcome cocktail reception and for a farewell dinner. Two hotel options are offered: charming boutique or signature premier/luxury hotels.​

• Transportation between Naxos and Santorini ferry terminals and hotels.
