PAINT EUROPE TRIP

Painting in October in the beautiful Andalusia region of southern Spain... a painter's dream trip!

Whether you are a seasoned artist... or you have never painted before and have always wanted to learn... join renowned artist and instructor Richard Scott for a wonderful and inspirational week of en plein air painting in Spain in October!
​
We'll follow in the footprints of Spanish artist Joaquin Sorolla... painting The Alhambra's majestic Moorish palaces... Generalife's magnificent gardens and beautiful fountains... and the colorful street scenes within Granada's historic medieval Moorish quarter, The Albaicin, dating from the 13th century, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site protected district. One day we'll take a day-trip to paint in a nearby Andalusian village.

Each day we'll feed our creative souls. There will be painting sessions in spectacular scenic locations. Richard will provide demonstrations and offer individual personal instruction designed to improve your painting skills and expand your art experience. Seasoned artists are free to be on their own to paint and enjoy.
Artists can choose to paint en plein air in oil or watercolor. You will take home your paintings along with many treasured memories of your Andalusian painting holiday and creative adventure.

We’ll be based for six-nights in enchanting Granada with its rich history, distinctive Moorish & Renaissance architecture, and natural beauty. We'll stay in the historic city center of Granada within El Albaycín, the old Moorish quarter, in a charming boutique hotel located in a sixteenth century open courtyard building, where we'll enjoy delicious Andalusian breakfasts each morning and in the afternoons gather in the courtyard for tea.
The trip includes a welcome reception with Spanish wines and hors d'oeuvres... happy hour sessions... and a farewell dinner with traditional Andalusian cuisine and local wines.

There will be personal free time... for added individual painting sessions... to visit Granada's Capilla Real (Royal Chapel)... wander through the El Albaycín neighborhood.... have a tapas meal or relax at an outdoor cafe... shop for local products & souvenirs -- from pottery & ceramics to leather goods & jewelry... visit the Sacromonte gypsy caves... attend an evening flamenco performance... soak up southern Spain's sunshine.

Non-painter friends and spouses of artists are welcome to join as there are many non-painting activities.

What fun it will be!
Optional before breakfast group pleasure walks through Granada are organized each morning for travelers who want some morning exercise before starting their vacation day.
