Have you always wanted to try painting? If so, this is the perfect time and place to begin. Beginning and experienced artists are encouraged to join, as are non-artists, friends and spouses.

 

Whether you have never painted before or you're a seasoned painter, renowned Southern California artist and instructor, Eva Margueriette, will guide you individually in capturing the Italian landscape en plein air in your own unique style. You will take home a painted journal filled with treasured memories of your European creative adventure.

 

Join us for a week on Italy's spectacular Amalfi Coast, one of the world's most beautiful coastlines, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We'll take day trips to the island of Capri and to UNESCO World Heritage site Pompeii. 

 

Each day we'll feed our creative souls. There will be daily painting sessions, individual instruction and demonstrations by Eva which will improve your skills and expand your art experience.

We’ll be based in Sorrento overlooking the Gulf of Naples where we'll stay six nights in boutique hotels. We'll paint in Sorrento's historic city centre with its narrow lanes, ancient buildings, and majestic view of the Gulf of Naples.

We'll take a drive in a private van along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast to Ravello to visit Villa Cimbrone Garden and its Terrace of Infinity with one of the world's most beautiful views... to Amalfi and visit the 6th century Duomo di Sant'Andrea Apostolo... and take a ferry (weather permitting) to the picturesque coast town of Positano where jet-setters flock from the world over.
 
We'll take a day trip traveling by hydrofoil to the island of Capri where we'll ride in Capri's unique open air taxis to the hilltop village of Anacapri and visit Villa San Michele and its lush garden overlooking the Gulf of Naples.

We'll take a day trip to Pompeii, the vast archaeological site which was once a striving and sophisticated Roman city that was buried in ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 C.E.  We'll paint and have a private tour of Pompeii with a local historian guide. Pompeii is a UNESCO World Heritage site, a "must see" for all travelers!

We'll have an Italian wine tasting session with a local wine expert, and a limoncello tasting session. Limoncello was invented in Sorrento!

There will be free time for shopping, personal sightseeing, enjoying delicious Southern Italian cuisine, and relaxing at sidewalk cafes or poolside at the hotel.

Optional before breakfast group pleasure walks through Sorrento and along the coast are organized for travelers who want some morning exercise before starting their vacation day.
