                      Three Categories of Trips

 

                         1. Pleasure Walking Trips

    * City Walk Trips -- London, Paris, Barcelona & Madrid, Rome

    * Coastal Walking Trips -- French Riviera

 

                                                                      WalkEurope City Walk and Coastal Walking Trips are designed for travelers who would

                                                                      like to combine European sightseeing with morning pleasure walking. We'll leisurely stroll 

                                                                      on-and-off for approximately 3-4 hours each day seeing famous European city landmarks

                                                                      and sites, and along the Mediteranean coastline looking out from breathtaking vistas.

 

                                                                      In Paris we'll walk to the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, The Louve, Notre Dame, 

                                                                      and along the Seine. In London we'll walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminister Abby, 

                                                                      through Hyde Park, and along the Thames. In Rome we'll walk to the Collossom, the Forum,

                                                                      Vatican City, and along the Tibrus. In Madrid we'll walk to the Palacio Real de Madrid, Museo

                                                                      Nacional Del Prado, and along the Manzanares. In Barcelona we'll stroll Las Ramblas, walk

                                                                      through the Gothic Quarter, to Gaudi's art nouveau buildings, and along the Mediteranean.

                                                                     

On the French Riviera we'll take pleasure walks along Cote d'Azur in Nice, Cannes and Cap-Antibes. We'll visit Monaco, Eze, 

Saint-Paul de Vence, and Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. 

 

Afternoons are free for personal sighteseeing, relaxation, and shopping. Evenings we'll walk to restaurants for group dinners, and take after dinner evening strolls.

 

Trips are designed for value-focused travelers. We'll stay in charming comfort boutique hotels. Trips include a welcome reception, wine tasting sessions with regional experts, before dinner cocktail hour soirees, and a local-cuisine farewell dinner. Personally selected recommended restaurants are provide. Most meals are on your own. Guests can choose to explore local bistros or go to Michelin star gourmet restaurants; yet everyone is invited to join the tour host for local-cuisine group meals.

 

 

2. Discovery Trips: Culture & Culinary

 

                                                                      WalkEurope Discovery Trips are designed for travelers to explore and experience Europe's                                                                         culture, history, art, architecture and cuisine. We'll have private tours with local guides                                                                                  of Europe's famous landmarks, museums, architecture and archaeological sites. We'll                                                                                   visit noted villas, palaces, cathedrals and gardens. We'll see beautiful countryside                                                                                           landscapes and ancient provincial towns, visit local open-air markets, and engage with

                                                                      Europeans in every day local life.

 

                                                                      Trips include local-cuisine cooking classes and meals with celebrated European chefs,

                                                                      wine tasting sessions with regional experts, evening tapas safaris, welcome reception                                                                                   with local wines and cheeses, and a local-cuisine gala farewell dinner. 

 

                                                                      Before breakfast each day an escorted group leisure walk for 45-60 minutes is offered for

                                                                      guests wanting some morning exercise to start their vacation day.

3. Art Instruction & Painting Trips with Eva Margueriette

 

                                                                      WalkEurope Art Instruction & Painting Trips with artist and instructor Eva Margueriette are                                                                         designed for both beginning painters and seasoned artists to learn about sketching and

                                                                      painting and paint en plein air in beautiful Europe locations.

 

                                                                      You don’t have to be a painter to come, but if you have always wanted to try painting this is

                                                                      the perfect time and place. Eva will help you capture the European landscape in your own                                                                             unique style in a watercolor painting and drawing journal filled with treasured memories of                                                                         your creative adventure.

 

                                                                     There are daily painting sessions, individual instruction and demonstrations by Eva which                                                                            will improve your skills and expand your art experience. The small number of participants                                                                            provides an intimate setting for the study of drawing and painting. Spouses and friends of

                                                                     artists are invited to join the trips as there are many non-painting activities.
