The Cotswolds is a painter's heaven!

Whether you are a seasoned artist... or you have never painted before and have always wanted to learn... join national award winning Southern California artist and instructor Laurie Hendricks for a week in August capturing the magnificent English countryside and charming Cotswold villages painting en plein air in your own unique style.

​

Each day we'll feed our creative souls. There will be daily painting sessions, individual instruction and demonstrations by Laurie which will improve your skills and expand your art experience.

 

Artists can choose to paint en plein air in oil or watercolor. You will take home your English paintings and a journal filled with treasured memories of your European creative adventure.

 

You'll enjoy the lovely English summer in late August.

The first four nights we'll be based in Burford, Oxfordshire, an ancient market town filled with enchanted charm and character, where we'll stay in a traditional English inn. The last two nights we'll stay in Broadway in a half-timbered framed, half honey stoned, delightful boutique hotel located in the heart the village overlooking the English village green.

​

We'll paint landscapes in the beautiful English countryside filled with rolling green hills... we'll travel to picturesque Cotswold market villages, including Chipping Campden... and we'll visit and paint in some of England's most stunning gardens located in the Cotswold area.

​

The tour includes many traditional English extras -- three evenings of Oxfordshire country cuisine dinners in our Burford old-world inn, a welcome reception with French wine and English cheeses, and afternoon high tea. 

​

There will be personal free time for individual painting... taking leisure walks... exploring quaint village shops and galleries... patronizing classic English pubs and rubbing shoulders with locals... and relaxing in the hotel garden.

Optional before breakfast group pleasure walks are organized for travelers who want some morning exercise before starting their vacation day.

Charming Boutique Country Hotels

• $3,950 – 7 days / 6 nights per person in double occupancy shared hotel room. For solo travelers, we will try to find you a roommate. Tour cost does not include airfare.

• Added cost for private single room accommodation -- $875.

Tour cost includes roundtrip group transportation between Central London and Burford/Broadway.
