These are holidays run with great humour, generosity and care, where you feel completely relaxed, with every decision taken for you. Imagine the comfort of plump duck-down pillows, crisp cotton sheets and deep steaming baths. Then add imaginative and creative cooking, each meal light and delicious, with many of the ingredients from Almuña’s own organic kitchen garden. Complete the picture with quality wine from different regions of Spain served with great courtesy by the Arbuthnotts’ local staff, most of whom have been with them for years. These are the basic ingredients of a perfect holiday.
These holidays are for mixed parties of no more than 15 in which you are welcomed into a group of interesting and friendly people. Hugh and Jane also look after private parties of friends or families in which they create a programme of varied activities to suit all.

This part of Andalucía is an area of outstanding and impressive beauty. There is an extraordinary diversity of landscape; limestone mountains, cork forests, olive groves, open farmland ablaze with sunflowers and pastures vivid with the colours of a thousand wild flowers. The country is sprinkled with ancient white villages, teeming with life, seemingly unchanged for hundreds of years.
